Snoop Dogg lit up the stage at SoFi Stadium during the halftime show for Super Bowl LVI. Hip-hop’s finest assembled in Inglewood to deliver a performance for the ages. Snoop is an LA native, and the city has been a big part of his life, making the night special. Reuniting with old friends in Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent would have been special too.
But there was something else for which the Gin and Juice singer felt grateful.
During the performance, a picture popped up on the backdrop of the stage featuring Snoop with his mother, Beverly Tate. In an Instagram post, the legendary rapper expressed his gratitude for the chance to pay this tribute, saying, “Thank. U @nfl and. @drdre for letting me have my mommas image. C apart of my set”

And thus, it made sense that Snoop paid tribute to his mother on arguably the biggest stage he has performed on yet. The Super Bowl is one of the most popular sporting events, with millions tuning in to watch. Still Dre, a song by Snoop and Dr. Dre, crossed the 1 billion mark in YouTube views after their Super Bowl performance.
