The hype has given way to horror in the case of the NFL legend, Aaron Rodgers. Early in the New York Jets’ home game against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets’ brand-new franchise quarterback reportedly incurred a left Achilles tendon injury, which is likely to cost him the entire season. The Jets, however, managed to score a sweeping 16 – 22 win over their opening rival despite their principle player’s absence.

Early on in the match, Rodgers tried evading a seemingly normal tackle from Leonard Floyd. Who was able to complete it, bringing the star quarterback down onto the field at MetLife Stadium. The 39-year-old legend stood up shortly afterward but signaled towards the sidelines before taking a seat on the turf. He was quick to realize that he was seriously injured. The incident caused numerous fans and analysts, including Skip Bayless, to evaluate the possible impact of such a disaster on the 2023 season.
