Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson has missed the last three games for the Baltimore franchise due to sprained PCL. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jackson will test his knee pretty soon during the practice sessions. Then, he will decide whether he will play for the Ravens for the rest of the season. However, the 25-year-old quarterback could decide to play for the Ravens if they feel they have a great chance to get the no.1 seed in the AFC North division.

Notably, after this season, Jackson will become a free agent, as the Ravens did not offer him a new contract. Hence, many fans are urging Jackson to sit out for the remaining season unless he gets a new contract.
NFL fans want Lamar Jackson to negotiate his contract before returning to the team
It is worth noting that Jackson suffered a PCL sprain during the game against the Broncos, which the Baltimore team won. With just two games left in the regular season, they have a pretty great chance of getting a wild card entry into the playoffs; they have a 10-5 win-loss record. Currently, the Bengals are holding onto the no.1 spot in the AFC North with 11 wins and 4 losses. If the Bengals lose their next two games, it will certainly open up an opportunity for the Ravens to clinch the no.1 seed.
#Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will test his sprained knee this week, determining if he can make football-related moves & practice. If he can practice, he should be healthy enough to play. But what’s at stake could play into whether he actually plays:

According to Rapoport, Jackson is focusing on his football-related movements and could start his practice soon. If the Ravens see a chance of getting the no.1 spot, they will most likely let Jackson play in the remaining games. On the other hand, Jackson is also in a dilemma regarding his contract situation with the Baltimore franchise. That’s why NFL fans want Jackson to negotiate his contract first with the Ravens before he plays for them again this season.

Notably, the 2019 MVP winner, Jackson, would become a free agent the next Summer, unless the Ravens decide to use the franchise tag on the quarterback, which could prevent him from reaching free agency. However, this is an unlikely scenario for both Jackson and the Ravens, as they are still in negotiation.

It will be interesting to see if Jackson gets a max contract from the Ravens. Despite a mixed season, Jackson still remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and the Ravens could go far in the playoffs if Jackson recovers in time. Right now, Tyler Huntley is handling the quarterback role, and he has been doing a decent job.
