Jackson is currently on the practice squad of the Ravens lineup. Previously, Jackson also showed interest in playing for the Philadelphia Eagles as well as the Green Bay Packers, alongside the Ravens. Last season the receiver also played with the Las Vegas Raiders as a free agent.

If Jackson does get game time with the Ravens, he will be the oldest receiver in the league. The Ravens, who are currently at 3-3 after their 24-20 loss against the New York Giants, could use the years of experience Jackson has to offer. After moving around the league, playing for the Eagles, Washington and the Buccaneers, Jackson’s performance at the Ravens will be highly anticipated. Currently without their top receiver Rashod Bateman, the Ravens will look to maximise all their resources.

But, this decision may not be the biggest hit among the fans.

Can DeSean Jackson make a difference?

The three-time Pro Bowler is one of the most well-regarded wide receivers in the league. Specializing in catching deep balls, Jackson holds a record of 27 touchdowns of 60 or more yards. He has also led the NFL in receiving yards on four occasions. Having the veteran on-field could help the Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson stretch the field.
