The crime partner of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, recently commented on the speed of Tyreek Hill. In a recent interview on the ‘Dan Patrick Show’, Travis Kelce opened up and stated his choice as the winner in the 60-yard Dash, amidst the legendary Usain Bolt and Tyreek Hills comparison. When asked how much would Hill beat him by in a hundred-yard dash? He answered, “Man, I would hope it wouldn’t get further than like 20 yards.” Kelce replied, “I’ve seen that guy take off before, and I did not think I had any chance of getting closer to him. Like with him with the ball in his hands, for sure he’s a whole different speed with the ball in his hands.”
Kelce’s statement is a testament to the incredible speed and athleticism of Tyreek Hill. Kelce indirectly highlighted the importance of speed in football and how Tyreek Hill’s magnificent ability help him significantly impact the game. Kelce cherishes the hype and excitement surrounding Tyreek Hill’s potential.
Further, during the interview, when asked about a potential race between Hill and the fastest man alive, Usain Bolt, Kelce expressed his confidence in Tyreek Hill stating, “I’m taking Tyreek. I mean 60, I’m taking Tyreek. Tyreek gets shot out of a cannon. Those first 50 and 60 are not slow by any means.”
Acknowledging Hill, Kelce stated “he’s more of a 200 meter guy” and tends to keep his speed going as he hits the turn to the straightaway. Kelce was impressed by his speed even if with a ball in his hands as he has seen him take off before. These comments highlight Hill’s exceptional potential and decision-making skills on the field. As Usain Bolt himself said, “Speed is not just about running, it’s about how quickly you can make decisions“, there would be no doubt if we say, Tyreek Hills mean these words.
