Marriage makes a man more responsible, including the NFL superstar Tom Brady! Recently, the Buccaneers quarterback took leave from his training camp, citing personal reasons. Although it was projected as if it was a predetermined decision, it turns out that the veteran underwent a similar dilemma a few years ago. In 2018 and 2019, the former Patriots quarterback skipped the OTAs just to spend time with his family and look after the kids.

Brady missed the OTAs in 2018 and was asked about the motive behind it. The former New England Patriots QB said, “I have a family at home and they get some of my time and energy and my wife is a very ambitious woman and she travels a lot.”
However, the duo had a way to deal with their personal and professional lives.
While speaking in an interview with Sirius XM’s Howard Stern, per NBC Sports, Tom Brady mentioned that Gisele Bündchen came up with a mutual agreement that obliged him to do his part for the kids. “A couple of years ago, she didn’t feel like I was doing my part for the family,” said Brady.

“She felt like I would play football all season, and she’d take care of the house… And she’s going, ‘When are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school?'”
Thus, Tom Brady had to make a choice and realize that he was not a bachelor anymore.
Tom Brady admits to making a transition in his life
Just like Tom Brady is a big name in football, Gisele Bündchen is a big name in the modeling industry. The Brazilian supermodel, with a net worth of $400 million, first met the quarterback in 2009. Since then, she has been engaged in looking after the family and kids.
Eventually, as all couples do, they shared the responsibilities, leading to Tom Brady skipping the offseason OTAs to maintain his work-life balance.

Despite skipping the practice sessions, it is to be noted that Tom Brady carried ‘The Pats’ to the post-season for 2018 and 2019. He even helped the Foxborough franchise claim a sixth Super Bowl (Super Bowl LIII) in the 2018/19 NFL season. Hence, his fans may not see him missing the OTAs with the Bucs as an impediment.
