Former Los Angeles Lakers Center Shaquille O’Neal was questioning the love of Los Angeles fans towards the NFL franchise. The NBA Hall of Famer is one of the greatest centers in the NBA’s history and was very successful during his time with the Lakers. He recognized that the Los Angeles Rams being a recently formed NFL franchise was not popular in LA despite their extraordinary roster.

During the recent episode of his ‘The Big Podcast With Shaq’, he states, “The city wasn’t pumped up enough for me. So which means are there a lot of Rams fans out there?

He believes the Rams didn’t have many fans who were pumped about their Super Bowl LVI game against the Cincinnati Bengals. There were doubts raised by his guest and fellow NBA Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady. He pointed out the number of Dallas Cowboys fans in the audience.

The optics certainly didn’t appear good for the Rams organization. Shaq pointed out the lack of enthusiasm from Rams fans for their franchise. It is clear for many NFL fans who understand retrospectively what the former Lakers legend was pointing out.
