Shocking Tragedy for Two Year Old Gets Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski Praying for Bucs Linebackers’ Family

A shocking tragedy struck Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett’s life. Barrett, who is entering his fifth season with the Bucs, lost his daughter to a very unfortunate accident on Sunday. Arrayah Barett was two years old, and the youngest of his four kids.

The NFL community has come forward to offer support and condolences to the LB on the passing of his daughter. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and retired legends Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, among others, expressed their remorse during this devastating time for the Barrett family.

Shaquil Barrett suffers devastating loss

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released a heartfelt statement that reports the unfortunate incident in the life of their LB. According to reports, their two-year-old daughter Arrayah, unfortunately, drowned in their swimming pool at their residence in a complete accident. The Tampa Bay police department released a statement saying that despite rushing the child to a local hospital, she was pronounced dead after failed attempts to save her life.

Patrick Mahomes took to Twitter to show his love and offer his support to Shaquil Barrett and his family in their unfortunate loss. He shared the Bucs’ statement with the caption, “Prayers to the entire Barrett family.” Retired NFL GOAT Tom Brady shared a picture of the entire Barrett family with their children on his Instagram story with the caption, “The Brady’s love you”. Retired TE Rob Gronkowski took to Instagram to share a story of Barrett with his young daughter. He wrote “Sending you and your family all the love and prayers.”, to show his support during the dark time in their lives.

Several others from the NFL community, including Russel Wilson, Robert Griffin III, Jermaine Johnson II, and Maxx Crosby sent their prayers to the grieving family.

The Barrett family

Shaquil Barrett, who is 30 years old, has three other children with his wife, Jordanna. Arrayah was the youngest of the lot. He married his wife on February 2012. They have three other children together, named Shaquil, Braylon, and Aliyah. Barrett had his first child when he was just 19 years old. He was preparing for the upcoming season after facing injuries in the second half of last season with a torn Achilles.
