When you lose one game, there is an opportunity to strike back, but when an important entity from the squad is missing, it makes the lineup more fragile. Something that Tom Brady said in his recent interview with Jim Gray.
The new episode of ‘Let’s Go! Podcast‘ is out, and the quarterback spoke about a wide range of topics, including his recent performance. The passer again experienced a frustrating defeat in Week 8 against the Lamar Jackson-led side. More than the loss, Shaq Barrett exiting the field in the third quarter of the game made the fans more worried.
It turns out, the outside linebacker suffered a torn ACL which will keep him away for the entire season. This will certainly prove to be a great hit for the defensive line moving ahead in the season.
“It hurts a lot. There’s no doubt. You’re right. Every team does deal with it. We’ve dealt with our fair share of offense this year. Defensively, Lou Shaq is a big loss for us.” Brady said about the back-to-back injuries especially losing Barrett for the upcoming games. “There’s no replacing that level of ability that he has. He’s a tremendous player. Great teammate. We’re gonna miss them. And it’s, you know, it’s one thing to lose the game.”
“It’s another thing to lose a key element of the defense in that game too. So, you know, it’s it was a very sh**ty loss in both respects. And, you know, we all want him to recover.” he added to his explanation.
