HC Bruce Arians wasn’t too keen on bringing AB to the team. Shannon Sharpe had some words to say. He believed that Brown had spoiled his reputation. Sharpe felt this way because of the things the WR did while he was with the Raiders and Patriots.
Shannon Sharpe said, “This should go to show you: Tom Brady and his resume and his character can’t vouch for Antonio Brown. Let that sink in people.” He believed that not even Tom Brady’s willingness to bring in Brown could help the fact that AB had spoiled his reputation very much in the league.

Antonio Brown later did join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but not for very long. Despite being a crucial part of their Super Bowl success, Brown ended his career with the Bucs himself. He had stormed off the field in the game against the Jets, and the Bucs later released him.

AB had a great game at the Super Bowl as well. Things didn’t end the way he would have wanted, but he got himself that Super Bowl ring. Tom Brady had advocated for him a lot throughout his tenure with the Bucs. In the end, none of that mattered due to the nature of Brown’s exit.
Tom Brady was very disappointed when Antonio Brown was released by the franchise, but he also knew there was no option left. Since then AB has been focusing on his new career in the music industry. So far no team has shown interest in bringing him back. As a result, the question of his return to the NFL remains in the air.
