NFL legend Tom Brady has done way more than winning seven Super Bowl championships to earn his deserved GOAT tag. And the greatness is just as visible off the field as it is on the gridiron. A major testimony to that has been the long-time heartwarming relationship TB12 has developed with the country of Uganda. However, he could not have done this godly work without the help of his sister, Nancy Brady.
The youngest of his three sisters, Nancy, changed Tom Brady’s life forever. Back in 2007, she took her NE Patriots quarterback elder brother on a trip that changed his life forever. Brady recently shared some memorable moments and the latest philanthropic developments in an IG story.

Brady shared a series of pictures and videos on his Instagram story that left many fans puzzled. Did TB12 go to Africa after retirement? The answer is no. He has been to Uganda before, but his stories amplified the exemplary work his sister Nancy was doing.
Back in 2008-09 when then-3x champion Tom Brady was recovering from his knee injury on the Patriots sideline, his sister embarked on the trip of a lifetime to Kampala, Uganda. There, she excelled in a six-month fellowship program to aid in the rehabilitation of the country’s resources, especially in the medical sector. Nancy Brady networked with numerous doctors, nurses, and villagers to help fight global diseases like HIV/ AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis. 17 years later, the social welfare major has reached insurmountable heights in transforming the lives of thousands of Ugandans.
“In 2006, my sister Nancy brought me to Uganda on a trip that was the beginning of the life-changing work she would go on to do there. Yesterday, she and her colleagues commemorated the conclusion of the Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services-North Lango project in Uganda. This strengthened the region’s health system and increased the use of sustainable health services to deliver person-centered care to communities, including vulnerable populations. I’m so proud of you,” Brady wrote.

Tom Brady accompanied his sister to Uganda once before her trip. In 2007, the siblings partnered with the ‘One Laptop per Child’ program to get the necessary equipment in the local classrooms. The trip was organized by DATA, an initiative of U2 singer Bono to advocate African community development. Brady had shared a long, heartfelt Instagram post after his trip.

Ex-wife Gisele Bündchen also contributed to the cause
In 2010, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen helped out Nancy Brady’s Ugandan initiative when the celebrity couple showed up to her pre-holiday fundraiser at the L’Espalier Restaurant in Boston. The event was raising money for the Accordia Global Health Foundation. The quarterback and supermodel duo, along with the rest of the 150 attendees, raised over $250,000, including $22,000, to have an on-site computer trainer for assistance.
Brady retired from football in February 2023. Surely, the philanthropy will surge as TB12 does not have to worry about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers anymore. Kudos Nancy and Tom!
