It has been an interesting offseason once again for the Baltimore Ravens drawing room. Despite signing a one-year contract worth up to $18 million with WR Odell Beckham Jr, the franchise has not been able to come to a conclusion to their long ongoing contract dilemma with their 2019 MVP QB Lamar Jackson. Jackson had been in a stalemate with the Ravens since last year over wanting a contract with guaranteed money similar to that of Deshaun Watson’s contract with the Cleveland Browns. And as time passes by, it does not look like the franchise is looking to meet Jackson’s demands over their contract negotiations.
Amidst the ongoing tussle between the Ravens and their QB, the franchise has recently successfully retained their Pro Bowl QB. And no, it’s not Jackson.

Former Utah QB Tyler Huntley has reportedly decided to stick with the Baltimore Ravens. The 25-year-old QB had signed with the Ravens after being undrafted in the 2020 Draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl games last season after 75 of 112 passes for 658 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in four starts and amidst Jackson’s injuries. Being a backup for the 2019 MVP QB, Huntley now plans to sign his restricted tender to remain with the franchise.

Will Lamar Jackson stay put with the Ravens as well?
While the Ravens might be successful in retaining their Pro Bowl QB, their future with their star QB still remains clouded with mystery. According to a recent report by Ian Rapoport, the franchise offered Jackson “$200 million guaranteed and $133 million guaranteed on a shorter deal.” But it has not come to fruition in any way. Recent reports also suggest that Jackson has been interested in OBJ and DeAndre Hopkins being acquired by the Ravens. With the team already bringing OBJ on board, will acquiring DeAndre Hopkins prove to be enough to make the QB stay?
