Tom Brady and Peyton Manning‘s enduring rivalry continues to be a topic of discussion even today. However, their camaraderie off the field was nothing short of exceptional. Following Manning’s retirement, the dynamic duo met up on multiple occasions, taking nostalgic trips down memory lane. Yet, one particular incident stands out, involving the duo playfully invading Jim Nantz‘s residence and engaging in friendly banter.
After Brady made an appearance on “Peyton’s Places,” they proceeded to Nantz’s house to enjoy some time on his golf course. The entire episode turned out to be hilariously entertaining, with the two-time Super Bowl champion leaving no stone unturned when it came to throwing playful jabs at Brady and his teammate, Rob Gronkowski.

Tom Brady was accused of stealing Manning’s secret weapon
Amidst their exchange of wisdom, Manning inquired about Brady’s favorite pattern to throw. Brady candidly responded, “I love throwing seams.” Without missing a beat, the 2x Super Bowl champ brought up his own cherished play, the ‘trap pass,’ and playfully mentioned how Brady and Gronk had borrowed it from Manning’s team. The 5x MVP mentioned the trap pass for a specific reason, as it had greatly improved Gronk’s accuracy in the field.
Amid laughter, Brady jokingly remarked how his teammate should have sent him a Father’s Day gift for the same, prompting Manning to quip, “You oughta send me money for it.” Both Manning and Brady shared a lighthearted moment, with TB12 adding how his teammate’s half of the counter passes were derived from the very play they were discussing.
Revisiting the duo’s rivalry
Brady and Manning, who have now developed a close bond after Manning’s retirement, once dominated headlines with their rivalry, featuring fierce and relentless athletic prowess for almost 15 years.
Brady was a mere rookie when Manning was at the height of his powers. However, Brady defied all expectations by consistently outperforming and defeating Manning’s team year after year. In total, they faced each other 17 times, with Brady holding a commanding 11-6 advantage in terms of match victories.
In terms of career achievements, Brady surpasses the two-time Super Bowl champion Manning by a significant margin with his seven rings. Brady’s excellence extends across various categories, with the exception of MVP awards, where Manning has secured two more accolades than TB12.
