Tom Brady has been at it in the NFL for more than two decades. Most of the players of the current generation have grown up watching him. After the defeat against the San Francisco 49ers, Brady interacted with a Niners linebacker who picked one of his throws. And Brady, being a good sport as he proclaims, ended up signing the intercepted football.

Although a pick is frustrating for any quarterback, Brady included, he laughed the act off.

Good sport Tom Brady

After receiving a thrashing from the Niners and throwing two interceptions in the game, Tom Brady ended up signing one of the intercepted footballs for the opposing player. The Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw asked the legendary signal caller for it and he obliged. Speaking about it on his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast, Brady laughed off the incident while also admitting that it was not a great feeling.

“It was sh*t for me, to be honest. It was complete sh*t,” a laughing Brady said. But the seven-time Super Bowl champion appreciated the play from Greenlaw.

“I’m happy he’s got the ball. I wish I didn’t throw it, but I’m trying to be a good sport. Because a lot of times I’m not a good sport. I can be a pretty bad sport. In the moment when they get me in the right frame of mind, I’m actually a good sport,” Brady said.

Well, it was great to see the class act from the NFL veteran after such a heavy loss. And that too on his homecoming.

Due to injuries to both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, the Niners gave a first league start to rookie Brock Purdy. And the last overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft outplayed the greatest QB of all time. Purdy threw just 185 yards of passing as compared to Brady’s 253 yards. But Purdy’s yards resulted in two passing touchdowns while Brady threw just one touchdown. On the top of it, Purdy also scored a rushing touchdown. The Niners registered a 35-7 win over the Buccaneers.
