Aaron Rodgers has always been the kind of person who isn’t afraid to try new things and talk about them. The Green Bay quarterback talks about a very unique experiment he has had. While he was on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, he spoke about taking a psychedelic that helped him experience a spiritual journey of sorts.

The quarterback has always been intrigued by the idea of death and what might come after that. He spoke about his experience when he had partaken in Ayahuasca. During the show, Pat McAfee and Aaron Rodgers spoke about deep topics like death and Rodgers’ journey during the off-season.

Aaron Rodgers: The Psychedelic journey

While on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, Aaron Rodgers and Pat McAfee spoke about the journeys Rodgers has taken to other parts of the Americas and the experiences he has had there. They talked about the alleged rumors of Rodgers spelunking and taking Ayahuasca. While Rodgers mentioned spelunking through a cave was entirely false, he spoke about the Ayahuasca journey.

He mentioned that taking the psychedelic helped him get over his fear of death which has always been prevalent for him. Rodgers also mentioned that he was able to bring about a new perspective on death and said, “it helped me with that and relieved a lot of the stress around the idea of needing to accomplish things uh before I actually die and kind of taken away some of that fear I think when you’ve seen the other side.” He also clarified that he did not explicitly mean life and death. He was speaking about a veil of sorts that exists in the world. Rodgers mentioned some of the stressors that had been bothering him before this experience.

Rodgers’ worries

The quarterback majorly spoke about his fear of death that had been bothering him for some time. He said, “I had a major uh fear of death I don’t know if any of you guys felt this way but kind of our age group but there was a and maybe just the way I grew up,” and referenced a fear that he always had growing up. Interestingly, he also referenced the fear of the world ending and went on an existential tangent.

The conversation had then taken a very NFL-Esque turn as the quarterback and the show hosts spoke about Devante Adams. However, the existential tangent seemed to have proven that A-Rod might just be a normal human after all. While he spoke of his resolving his fear of death, a question that arises is what other fears the reigning MVP has and how does he cope with them?
