The ex-undisputed Shannon Sharpe finally finds a new home! The media landscape in the US underwent a complete overhaul recently, including the departure of the former NFL tight end from the beloved show alongside Skip Bayless, which started back in 2016. Sharpe became one of the most prominent faces in the sports world, and his departure, following the NBA finals, had left the fans in shock. In the midst of these developments, there were already rumors about the 3x SB champ’s new sparring ground, aside from his own podcast.

Just about a month ago, reports emerged about ongoing discussions between the ex-NFL star and ESPN, the media powerhouse that had already undergone significant restructuring in recent months. This caught the attention of none other than Stephen A. Smith, who initially extended an invitation for the three-time Super Bowl champ to join his show, but only as a part-timer.

Shortly after Sharpe’s exit from “Undisputed,” Smith took to his channel with a video, expressing his stance. He shared his contentment with his crew while expressing his desire to have the former NFL star join his show, but only part-time. Following the ESPN rumors last month, he reiterated his interest in having Sharpe on his show. Now, that wish has become a reality.

Recent reports reveal that Sharpe is indeed joining Smith on “First Take.” It’s been disclosed that the three-time Super Bowl champ will engage in debates with his new partner on Mondays and Tuesdays. This signifies Sharpe’s entry into a respected show but on the host’s condition. Furthermore, discussions with FanDuel have surfaced, potentially aligning Sharpe as the face of NFL coverage, given Pat McAfee‘s recent move to ESPN. With a potential deal with ESPN in the works, the former tight end could oversee multiple ventures, including his podcast.

Shannon isn’t the sole one to find a new sparring mate, as Bayless has also secured a fresh co-host, just as the NFL season approaches. Just days before Sharpe’s revelation, news emerged about 5x Pro Bowler Richard Sherman joining FS1’s ‘Undisputed.’ They’re planning to create around 50-100 shows annually, mostly during the NFL season. Amidst the rumors around Sharpe’s talk with ESPN, fans initially hoped for his own show.

A fan in the comments expressed his disappointment, waiting, “I’m happy Shan is eating but this seems like a downgrade.

Another fan opted out of agreeing with the update, saying, “I’ll need 2 or 3 takes to understand what Shannon even said.”

Yet another fan playfully crafted a reply, commenting, “Lots of shouting this is gonna include
