Warriors star player Steph Curry on the Huddle & Flow Podcast was asked who his favorite NFL player was? Curry, while replying to the question, said, “Mahomes, for sure.” He adds, “See a lot of myself in him. There’s been a lot of comparisons. Just that creativity. You can’t blink or you’ll miss something special. I just love his confidence, when he knows that at any point he can do something special.”
Curry also said that Patrick Mahomes always has options and uses his arms and feet efficiently. Curry believed Mahomes had some weapons with him, and only he can use them. The basketball star loves to watch Mahomes and thinks he is a generational talent.

There are many instances when Curry and Mahomes were compared. Hall of Famer Michael Irvin made a comparison in 2020 and called Mahomes, the Stephen Curry of the NFL and the one who will take things to the next level.

Patrick Mahomes is on the list with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to have the most number of touchdown passes in a season
Kansas City Chiefs drafted Mahomes as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, the QB started in one game against the Denver Broncos, and the Chiefs won the match. In that one game, he threw for 234 yards and completed 22 out of the 35 passes.

In 2018, Mahomes started in 16 games and gave one of the best performances till now. With a 12-4 record in the season, he threw for 5097 yards and completed 383 out of the 580 passes.
He made a record by throwing 50 touchdown passes and had 12 interceptions in that year. Only three players in NFL history have crossed 50 plus touchdown passes in a season. Peyton Manning has made 55 touchdown passes, while Tom Brady and Mahomes are 50 each in a single season.

Mahomes has played five seasons with the Chiefs and appeared in two Super Bowl games back to back in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl and defeated the San Francisco 49ers by 31-20. The next season, it was Brady Vs Mahomes, and the Chiefs lost the championship by 31-9.
