Russell Wilson resembles Joe Montana
Although while comparing Montana’s 15 season career to Wilson’s nine, it can be concluded that even though Wilson has a better regular-season record, the eight-time Pro Bowler’s Super Bowl success rate is still unmatched.
“The guy [Russell Wilson] in Seattle. He’s a pocket guy. He can run if he has to run.” Joe earlier said on Bleacher Report, “He can move around in the pocket, but he’s not a pure runner… That wasn’t me, I wasn’t a pure runner.”
However, Montana believes that back in his days, quarterbacks weren’t really runners. Apparently, Wilson has now surpassed the NFL legend as a rushing player. Montana had a total of 1,676 rushing yards in his 15-year long career compared to 4,531 of Wilson.
Wilson stands humble in front of Joe when it comes to the number of MVPs won by the legend. Montana has been named Super Bowl MVP three times and NFL MVP twice in comparison with Russell Wilson‘s zero MVP titles. However, both the stars are eight-time Pro Bowlers.
