Are the Seattle Seahawks’ executives to blame?

Bobby Wagner’s tweet came three days after they revealed that the Seahawks had released him. However, he had already learned about the scheme.

After the athlete’s call out, head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider of the Seattle Seahawks apologized for the manner they processed Wagner’s severance, saying they deplore how their long-serving defensive captain heard of the team’s decision.

According to ESPN, Schneider and Carroll have been asked out about the incident during their first press conference since the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday. Schneider said, “Yeah, that’s on me. I own that.”

Even though Carroll intervened, claiming responsibility, Schneider persisted, “No, it really is [on me]. I wish I could have handled things better in that regard from a communication standpoint. I owe it to him. The organization owes it to him.”
