Home/NFL

Seattle Seahawks have had a horrid season so far. A team that once looked like favorites to make the playoffs, is now languishing last in the NFC West. They’ve only won three of their nine games so far, even with a star-studded squad. When they went up against the Packers, they got dealt another heavy blow. Their star man, DK Metcalf, also got himself into trouble.

The Packers continued their dominating run once again as they defeated the Seahawks thumpingly. While their 17-0 win was the highlight of the night, another highlight was Seattle’s offensive sloppiness. It was an absurdly frustrating night for DK Metcalf & co as their frustrating actions led to him trying to enter the ground despite his ejection. The NFL has deemed his actions unnecessary and disrespectful, which is why he is all set to be penalised for it.

Green Bay Packers defeat the Seattle Seahawks in a scintillating fashion

The Green Bay Packers continued their dreamy start to this season by completely blowing away the Seattle Seahawks. The Packers won 17-0 with a swashbuckling performance from the Packers defence. To contain a side comprising Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett to a combined zero point is absolutely phenomenal and is definitely praiseworthy.

While the Seahawks defense deserves praise, they were further helped with the rusty Russell Wilson. The Seahawks captain’s rustiness completely swallowed Seattle’s offensive outlet. Thanks to his misplaced passes, multiple interceptions, and overall sloppiness, it rendered the likes of Metcalf and Lockett complete non-factors.

Two nights ago, things got heated between the Seahawks and the Packers. Owing to Metcalf & team’s inability to dictate the tempo of the match and being unable to score a single point, it frustrated the Seattle Seahawks. This frustration boiled over to the extent that Metcalf had to be ejected in the last quarter with just 1:23 left in the game.

While the disqualification won’t suspend him, he is surely set to attract a fine for it. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Metcalf will be reviewed for a possible fine but not a suspension. Metcalf told reporters after the game that he was frustrated because he was “tired of losing”.
