The Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is going through a rough patch in his professional career. While the passer and the management are figuring out the ways to get out of this slack, legendary coach Sean Payton seems to have a way to guide Wilson out of this agony.

After spending a significant time inside the Saints locker room guiding Drew Brees to success, Payton decided to step out of his job and pursue a new life in broadcasting.

Although he secured a new gig with ‘FOX sports’, the coach is expected to return next year. One of the hot landing spots for the veteran is at Denver, who were struggling to get the game going and live up to the fan expectations.

In the recent episode of Colin Cowherd’s talk show, Payton appeared as a guest and analyzed various topics, including Wilson’s situation. The host asked what he would do if he were coaching the passer. Payton explained that there were several aspects to be evaluated before devising the game plan.

“I’d want a cut up of all Russell’s pass plays of 30 or more yards from the field, and I’d want to see, are there some schemes that he felt very comfortable with,” Payton said on the show. “….I’d want to look at another film of his red-zone touchdown passes inside the 20. “
