Sean Payton quashes all the rumors
After Tom Brady retired from professional football earlier this year, Tom Brady was alleged for trying to get minority ownership in the Miami Dolphins. To add more fuel to the campaign, the Super Bowl-winning coach Sean Payton’s name was also linked for a possible collaboration. On Tuesday, while speaking to the reporters at Zurich Classic Celebrity Shootout, Payton shot down the rumors without a second thought.
“I told you guys that already. If I had been ready to coach this year, I would have stayed in New Orleans,” he told the reporters. “It’s nice to have someone interested. That’s about it. Our focus on Tom Brady has been beating him, not joining him.” Payton added to his speech.
The 58-year-old also mentioned that he was aware of the story and ongoing rumors like anybody else connected to the NFL world. However, he was never consulted or planned about his future. “I have no clue about the Tampa Bay/Miami Dolphins/Tom Brady rumor, I understand that there was a request put in where the intermediaries talked, and I’m like the rest of you. I heard that story. I’m getting ready to do TV.” Payton clarified when asked if he knew about the developments.
