Russell Wilson saw the then-43-year-old Tom Brady win his seventh Super Bowl ring against the young shot, Patrick Mahomes. He later confessed that he hated sitting in the audience and watching other players win what he should have won. The fire of victory burned in him.

The 33-year-old wanted to join the likes of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Joe Montana. It was time to do something big. Therefore, he decided to break away from the dysfunctional relationship he had with the Seahawks.

In March 2022, the Denver Broncos finally signed the Super Bowl-winning QB. The team got him against teams like the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders. But what was the second largest deal in the NFL kind of tanked.

The Seahawks traded Russell Wilson for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a fifth-round pick in exchange for Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, and Noah Fant. Drew Lock is doing well with the Seahawks while the 9-time Pro Bowler is struggling in Denver. And the fan wore Russell Wilson’s number 3 jersey. The fans essentially made fun of him.

Although the elite QB was blamed for tripping against a Seattle QB, the Bucs managed to gain a 21-16 win. Tom Brady was 22 for 29 for 258 yards and a pick.
