The SI magazine dives into Jets Cornerback Sauce Gardner’s personality, as a human being in a feature story titled “The Sweet Life of Star Jets Corner Sauce Gardner”. The cover image also reflects his playful side, as he holds his hand covered in barbeque sauce, a nod to his nickname and his endorsement deal with Buffalo Wild Wings. Sauce himself seemed amused by the cover, as he posted a picture of it on social media with the caption: “I’m at the airport grabbing some snacks and look what I see🤣🤣🤣.

CB Sauce has made history by becoming the first Bearcat to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated since Kenyon Martin in 2002. Now CB joins an elite group of NFL players who have been on the cover of the prestigious magazine in recent years, such as Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. This huge milestone comes at a time when the Jets have high expectations for the upcoming season with six prime-time games, especially with Rodgers leading the offense.
