The team lost Trent Williams at left tackle in the third quarter. On a night when Denver essentially fell all over itself when in possession of the ball, everything was set up for them to win. Jimmy G was in charge of Kyle Shanahan’s offense, but it was only able to advance the ball when it wasn’t third down, occasionally finding Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk in the open field but never putting together a series of spectacular plays. Jeff Wilson was underutilized on the ground despite averaging a good 6 yards per carry.
