The San Francisco 49ers shocked everyone by trading up to the #3 spot in the 2021 NFL Draft. Having drafted quarterback Trey Lance with the pick, the franchise looks to have found their replacement for current starter Jimmy Garoppolo.
But Garoppolo isn’t going anywhere just yet. The franchise has maintained that the former New England Patriots QB will be their starter come Week 1 of the upcoming season.
This will give Trey Lance ample time to get used to his new team and the playbook. Something that he has already started working on in the offseason.
