Raheem Mostert, running back for the San Francisco 49ers, sacrificed a lot to make this 2020 season happen. In an interview, he almost had tears in his eyes. He was definitely happy with the 23-30 win against Los Angeles Rams, but he was clearly said about not having his little family around. He mentioned how much he missed his wife and his 2 sons, especially his newborn son. He further mentioned how tough it is for him to stay away from his family.

It’s been a struggle not having my little family, It’s really tough, and I miss them so much, and it’s a fight out here every day, you’re fighting for your life. I just want people to understand that, it’s just not football players, it’s the whole organization, it’s everybody. People have to make sacrifices out here, I sacrificed to leave my family behind so that way I can make a living for them,” said Mostert in an interview post-Sunday’s game.

Mostert with his teammates might have to wait a little longer to reunite with their families. Santa Clara County has decided not to let any team be it school, college, or any professional practice in their sports fields. This is all because of a rise in coronavirus cases in the area.

Mostert in these tough times praised his team and the bond he shared with his fellow teammates. He is a solid rock who is very much willing to take care of his teammates as he would for his family.

“One thing I would like to say, though, no matter what we go through, we’re a team, and we truly believe that we’re going to take care of each other. We’re going to look after each other. If you think about my situation, I left my family back at home to be a part of something like this,” said Mostert this Sunday night.

Raheem Mostert even went further to say he is very proud of how he feels. He does not feel weak to convey what he feels emotional. He tries his level best to see that everyone takes care of one another.“I don’t take anything for granted. I try to do my best to make sure that me, the people around me, my teammates, everybody, the whole organization is looking after each other. That’s one thing that I pride myself on,” said Mostert.

Currently, it’s very dicey and a tough situation for not just Mostert but his entire team, they do not have a house; they do not understand where they will be in the coming future, what they know is, they are a team.
