Notably, the Saints’ star allegedly assaulted a man named Darnell Greene Jr. during the 2022 Pro Bowl weekend in Las Vegas. As a result, the police arrested the football star at the time. Previously, the case got pushed back a few times; however, the victim is finally suing Kamara, which could be bad news for his NFL career.
Alvin Kamara is facing a $10 million lawsuit for alleged assault
According to recent reports the man, Darnell Greene Jr. is suing him for a total of $10 million; $5 million for punitive damages, and $5 million for compensatory damages. Notably, Greene was hospitalized after that alleged assault and, as per his lawsuit, he suffered knees, face, neck, shoulder, and back injuries.

The lawsuit claims that Greene was leaving the Cromwell Hotel & Casino early in the morning on February 5, when he met Alvin Kamara and his friends inside an elevator. As per the lawsuit, Kamara and his friends shoved him into a wall and punched him in the face several times. They also apparently chased him in the hall and continued their beatdown.
Reports suggest that the lawsuit also has video evidence to prove Greene’s claims. Earlier, the NFL decided not to take any disciplinary action against the Saints‘ running back, as they were waiting to see the conclusion of the case. It is worth noting that the Saints picked Kamara in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. Since then, he has earned plenty of money playing for the New Orleans side, as his current net worth is around $8 million. Safe to say, losing $10 million will be devastating for his career. Moreover, the NFL could suspend him for a very long period of time as well.

Kamara had a bright start to his NFL career
In 2017, in his rookie year, he received the offensive rookie of the award after scoring 8 touchdowns for 728 yards. Since then, he improved massively and became one of the best running backs in the league.
The five-time Pro Bowler has already missed two games this season, as the Saints are having a mixed season so far. Kamara’s return against the Seahawks certainly lifted their spirit, as the Saints had an impressive win over them. Today, they will face the Bengals in a must-win match to save their season.
