Patriots linebacker Matt Judon is on the line to become one of the best defensive players in NFL history. However, it seems that the league is not ready to accept the fact and hence selected him for a drug test again. The veteran escalated this issue on Twitter recently, sharing screenshots of those back-to-back drug test messages.

A fun fact is that none of these seems “random” because he has been receiving such messages more than once, especially after he became the sack leader this season. The star expressed his displeasure on social media, sharing a screenshot of the message.

“Dear NFLPA NFL leave me the F alone, please. It’s no way this is random. I take melatonin to sleep sometimes. The rest is just vibes,” he wrote on Twitter. The screenshot clearly shows a guy from the medics team asking the LB to appear for the drug test with his ID.

The last time this happened was during the Patriots’ loss to the Vikings when he totaled 13 sacks in the season. His justification for using melatonin seems fair because enough rest is necessary. His performance reflects the stability he showcases despite a struggling offense failing to roll the ball downfield.

So far, Judon has been impressive with his defensive skills. He recorded 14.5 sacks and has 29 solo tackles to his name. In the upcoming week, he is gearing up to play against the Raiders, a crucial game of his career and the season.

The Patriots haven’t been much impressive this season, with just seven wins they are placed third in a highly competitive AFC East. The majority of the blame goes to the struggling offense and an unstable QB position.

However, that didn’t make any difference for Judon as a player because he has been phenomenal this season. He had previously mentioned that he has nothing to do with ‘who’ plays QB or leads the chain of command.

“I dap everybody up, I dap Bailey up, I dab Mac up, I dap the whole- I dap everybody up…. I don’t care who’s playing QB as long as they’re executing and moving the chains, I’m rooting for whoever (that’s all),” Judon said in a past interview.

NFL world extends support to Matt Judon

To some extent, the league isn’t the one to be blamed because Judon has been impressive with his unrealistic figures. However, these random drug tests have annoyed the star, who finally took the issue on social media.

Judon is playing in his last season for the Patriots, per his contract. Unless the franchise offers him a new one, he is set to leave the side. Judon might land a long-time gig in a new team.
