What a night it was for Sean Payton’s New Orleans Saints outfit on Sunday. The reigning NFC South Champions made their way to a convincing 3-38 win over rivals Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium in Week 9.

In doing so, Drew Brees and his band of speedsters pulled off the double over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers between a gap of 8 weeks.

Veteran NFL quarterback Drew Brees was the standout performer for the Saints last night, aside from their outstanding defense, of course. The 41-year-old went 26 of 32, throwing for 222 yards with 4 passing touchdowns to his name.

The Saints put in such a dominant display against the Buccaneers that some NFL analysts now believe that they can be outside challengers to make this year’s Super Bowl Final.

Can the New Orleans Saints reach this year’s Super Bowl Final?

Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety-turned-NFL analyst, Ryan Clark appeared on the recent segment of ESPN’s Get Up. Clark went on to talk about the Saints’ performance on Sunday night.

He claimed that Sean Payton’s boys exceeded expectations while tipping them for a potential Super Bowl run in the post-season.

“If this is the team that shows up every week, you can plan a parade in the greatest place to throw a parade in America and that’s New Orleans.

“It might be socially distanced….but if this team plays like this (during the playoffs), the New Orleans get another Super Bowl,” Clark said on the show.

Along with Brees, backup QB Taysom Hill also grabbed eyeballs with his promising rushing displays in the final third. Highly rated NFL WR Michael Thomas also made his return from a long exile in Week 9.

The Saints definitely seemed more confident with Thomas on their roster. With RB Alvin Kamara also in fine form and the New Orleans defense impressing on Sunday, coach Payton will be eager to silence the naysayers over the next few weeks.
