Despite erectile dysfunction being purely associated with men, women face an equal if not greater blow to their egos. And even though women don’t experience the direct physical impact, they’re deprived of intimacy and experience a range of strong emotions. With relatively high rates of sexual dysfunction in men, female partners often feel the psychological impact while questioning their self-worth.
Ciara Wilson recently took to Instagram to share encouraging words with these women, “This is for the girls who been through an ED and come out the other side knowing they beautiful.”
Most women in relationships with men suffering from erectile dysfunction tend to feel drained and somewhat emotionally exhausted. Taking care of their significant other as he copes with the emotions that come with an inability to perform, such as shame and embarrassment, takes an immense toll on the woman’s mental health.
Being the humanitarian that she is, Ciara’s message resonated with many of her fans and hopefully provided much-needed confidence to all women around the globe.

“I asked her, What would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table and did it Jesus’ way, no sex?” recalled Wilson asking his then-girlfriend and now wife.
Ciara gracefully agreed to the subject and appreciated Wilson for having the clarity to actually go through with, “It’s until the deal is sealed! Absolutely, It was an organic thing for him and I think he was just being honest about where we are.”
