One of the most ruthless teams in the league has turned into an underdog for the past few seasons. Despite making relentless changes to their roster, they suffered from a series of unfortunate events year after year. In an attempt to turn things around, they made a significant move last season by acquiring none other than Russell Wilson, hoping for a fresh start and a promising season. However, things took a completely opposite turn, and the season ended with a disastrous performance, making it one of the worst in league history.

The management wasn’t certainly happy with the said outcome, hence a severe change in both the roster and the management. Even the head coach of the team was booted off with an aim to become a Super Bowl Contender once again. Nonetheless, one of their recent picks certainly turns heads, sparking intense discussions.

As the draft season has come to an end, and the training camp already knocks at the door, teams are now only concerned about the final touches. The Broncos aren’t messing around either, hoping to turn into a serious competition in the AFC. With a veteran HC, Sean Payton and Wilson finally getting used to the new environment, it looks to be hopeful. Then, in a shocking turn of events, the Super Bowl 50 winners decided to bring in the former Cowboys kicker, Brett Maher.

According to a Sports Illustrated story, the Broncos have reached an agreement with the ex-Cowboys kicker, in a part of the NFL game known as “Musical Chairs” at the position. Maher played as an automatic last season until he met with stage fright during the playoffs. He only scored 1 point out of 6 extra-point attempts. To fill his gap, the Cowboys brought in Brandon Aubrey, a soccer star turned footballer. Aubrey is set to compete against Tristan Vizcaino for the said position.

With the training camps just weeks away, fans are eagerly anticipating a potential comeback of the year from the Broncos’ star QB.

Do the Broncos stand any chance this season?

Despite a disappointing debut for the Broncos, Russell Wilson has been far from idle during the offseason. Fueled by the goal of making a triumphant comeback, the star quarterback underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to address any lingering ailments. Determined to regain his peak performance, Wilson has been diligently training to improve his physical prowess. With a humiliating 55 sacks last season, the team has also brought in Mike McGlinchey and Ben Powers to provide better guard for the QB.
