The Boston Celtics took on the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA playoffs, round one, game one. Basketball fans were hyped for the two giants to collide and the game did not disappoint. Both the sides were neck to neck with just one point deciding the fate of the match-up.
Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant steal the show
It is not easy to defeat the Boston Celtics on their home court. But the Brooklyn Nets came very close. The game was so clutch. Almost nothing to separate both the teams. If the match-up went on for another 30 seconds, we might have had a different outcome. But in the end, the Celtics prevailed with one point. The result of the game was 114-115 in favor of the home team.

Despite coming one point short, nobody can deny the efforts put in by the Nets. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant played their hearts out. Irving finished the game with 39 points. 18 of those points were scored in the fourth quarter when the game’s intensity turned all the way up. Durant scored 23 points but shot just 9 of 24. A late miss by Durant set up the one-point win for Boston. In the final moments of the game, the Celtics forced the ball out of Irving’s hands. It set up the incredible buzzer-beater.
”They did a good job of forcing me away, then helping in the paint. I just got to be more fundamental in my moves,” said Durant. ”I feel like some shots went in & out for me.”
