All eyes of the Bronco nation will be on Russell Wilson in 2023. The $245 million QB acquisition had the worst season of his career in 2022. Wilson had just thrown for 3,524 yards, with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. After such a dismal debut and with the Denver Broncos ending their campaign with a 5-12-0 record, the team decided to fire HC Nathaniel Hackett after just 15 games as HC. And now, they have brought in Sean Payton in an attempt to rebuild and rise from the ashes and ensure their QB’s performance improves from last year.

Over the course of the off-season, Russell Wilson has been putting in the effort. From losing weight to addressing his injury that has been bothering him for a long time, the QB is leaving no loose ends, as he seeks a shot at redemption. And while the 2023 season is still weeks away, Wilson could already be in talks to be the next face of a show which had Patrick Mahomes for their first season.

With teams heading off for training camp, the 34-year-old is already making visible progress, according to his team. Last month, Broncos offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi stated that Wilson’s comeback from last season’s dismal performance has been positive news for the team. And with the Broncos training camp scheduled to start next week, all eyes will be on Wilson and how he evolves himself under the guidance of Sean Payton. But, it looks like there might be a chance for the 34-year-old to bolster his public image even before the season starts.

According to a tweet by NFL Notifications, Russell Wilson might be an ideal candidate for season 2 of Netflix’s docuseries ‘Quarterback’. The tweet rumors that producers of the show are already in contact with the 34-year-old’s representatives in order to make it happen. This could give fans a look into his life in Denver off the field, and also how he maintains his relationship with his wife Ciara. With the way the docuseries bolstered the image of the three QBs in their first season, Wilson could be the next one to have his story reach NFL fans.

Season 1 of ‘Quarterback’ has been a success

The debut season of the docuseries followed the life of QB Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota as they traversed the ups and downs of their 2022 NFL campaign. The show focused on Mahomes winning his second Super Bowl championship, and how Cousins displayed his excellence in the regular season last year. It also sheds light on the story of Marcus Mariota, who ultimately got replaced by Desmond Ridder as QB1 for the Atlanta Falcons. The docuseries proved to be a grand success, as it went on to become the No.1 show in the US in just three days of its release
