The Broncos’ country is a sinking ship, and the captain doesn’t want the fans to lose hope. For the past few days, Russell Wilson has been the center of attraction at Denver, getting massively trolled for his underperformance despite bagging a lucrative $245 million contract this offseason. Meanwhile, the veteran wants to calm the situation with these six words for the fans.

After spending a significant amount of time in Seattle, Wilson embarked upon a new journey with the Broncos and Peyton Manning, closely guiding him to understand the culture of the franchise. However, all these developments seem to have gone in vain, as the offensive unit failed to make an impact.

They are currently down to 2-4 and probably bottom in the red zone Offensive with another title as one of the lowest-scoring teams in the NFL. Meanwhile, before facing the Jets in Week 7, Wilson shared a tweet on Wednesday. It reads, “Only way is to Keep Believing.”

Well, these words triggered the fans even more, and the quarterback was again roasted on the internet. In the last game, a 19-16 overtime loss against the Chargers, there were several moments for Wilson to pull the game to their zone.

However, lack of execution made all the difference. Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett, who is also serving in his first year for the franchise, seemed unhappy about the overall performance.

“This is very disappointing,” the Broncos coach said Monday night. “We need to have a lot more urgency across the board — it starts with me as a coach, then all of the other coaches, then to the players. Players need to be just more urgent,” he added, analyzing the game.

Russell Wilson vows to find a way amid his tryst with the injuries

Although Wilson has been struggling to buckle up his offensive unit, the quarterback has been lingering with back-to-back injuries. The former Super Bowl Champion suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter at SoFi Stadium; however, the condition seems to have improved now.

Similarly, he incurred a shoulder injury during the Week 4 loss against the Raiders. While fans didn’t go easy on him, instead blamed the passer for giving excuses to cover for their loss. “Shoulder did good, but listen, the only thing that matters is us winning,” The QB said in a recent interview. “Not going to sugarcoat it, the only thing that matters is us winning … there’s no excuse for it, we’ve got to find a way,” He added.

If Wilson and Co. need to keep their playoff aspirations alive, they will have to improve their season record. The Jets and the Jaguars are next on the line; hopefully, the passer gets back on track soon.
