After a trade to the Denver Broncos, NFL star quarterback Russell Wilson has struggled to get going. While starting the season 2-4, the player is already in hot water with the fans. When one is already underperforming, it is ill advisable to miss open plays, which can land one in further trouble. And somehow managing to annoy fans in consecutive matches, Wilson has unleashed an army of fans, trolling the player for his misses on open play.

In consecutive matches, there have been moments where Russ has just missed seeing the wide-open receivers. Even in important 3rd and goal situations, it seems that the former Super Bowl champion is far from his finest form.

This fan has a question for Russ and his recent form. Failing to understand the reason behind all this.

However, this person did offer a viable reason for why Wilson is missing open plays, one after another.

Even though you don’t expect such things from a player of Wilson’s standing. But many fans questioned his technical soundness as well.

A newly acquired problem

When the off-season started, it was no surprise to see the Denver Broncos go after an established QB. However, expectations of the QB being Russell Wilson were news for many. After undertaking a massive contract for the player, the team extended his contract through 2028. Further, offering the player a deal worth around $245 million.

However, as things stand, the move has landed the team in to really tough situation. While Russell spent his entire time with the Seattle Seahawks up until now, he is looking like a system quarterback. And if he hopes to turn this around and once again find himself on the good side of the fans. He will have to start connecting with open receivers at the very least.
