Interestingly, numerous teams like Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos are on the verge of signing a deal with the 30-year-old. A few days ago, Mathieu was rumored to get recruited by the Steelers as they needed a significant safety for the team.

However, the team’s general manager Kevin Colbert quashed all the rumors and clarified that they are not going after the former Chiefs’ safety. But now it seems the defensive stalwart is in huge demand; among a certain number of teams.

According to the recent analysis of Jordan Schultz, the star is receiving interest from Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, and the other five teams on the list.

In mid-March, Evan Massey reported that Colts and Chicago Bears were the two dark-horse contenders, but so far no updates have been received from either team. After Tyreek Hill got traded from Kansas City, Mathieu became the hot topic of discussion.
One of the main reasons teams were skeptical about him was his age. The defensive stalwart will turn 30 before the start of this season, and teams are unsure if they can rope him for accomplishing their future ambitions.

However, he continues to remain the most versatile Safety, and the lower-ranked teams are finding this as an opportunity to make a deal with him. Also, Mathieu is one of the most durable Safeties present in the league; because he has missed just two games in the past five seasons and is often free from injuries.
Tyrann Mathieu is an experienced athlete!
The three-time Pro Bowl champion was first drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 and later by the Houston Texans on a one-year deal. He finished the season with 89 tackles, two interceptions, eight defended passes, and three sacks.

This performance caught the attention of the Chiefs and subsequently drafted him in 2019 for a tenure of three seasons in a $42 million deal. Mathieu finished with 13 interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, and four fumble recoveries for the team.
