The Cardinals hired Kliff Kingsbury as the head coach of the franchise back in 2019. But the team struggled under him almost his entire reign. He led the Cardinals to a playoff appearance in 2021 but lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC wildcard round. The Rams went on to win the Super Bowl that season.

The current season was nowhere near the last for the Cardinals. The team finished fourth in the NFC West with just four wins all season. And the Cardi fired the former Tom Brady backup QB at the end of the regular season.
