The New York Jets are moving aggressively in the trade window. They are putting in the work to build a roster with a fearful offensive line. They even have the added benefit of talents Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner, who both won the offensive and defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2022. With the possibility of Aaron Rodgers coming to the Jets, the team is going all in building a strong team to provide A-Rod with the best chance of adding another ring. It was also rumored that Rodgers provided the Jets with a free agent wish list of his own before his expected arrival.

Robert Saleh pours his heart out about Aaron Rodgers

The Jets Head Coach, Robert Saleh, opened up about A-Rod’s possible arrival and how the Jets have been building up their name over the years. He said that to have someone like the four-time MVP wish to play for the Jets is an achievement on its own and shows how far they have come as a team in recent years. 

Saleh said, “Two years ago when we first got here, just thinking about where we were and how far we’ve come, to have a guy like him want to play for us is pretty cool and shows how far we’ve come”.

With the way things have been going down in the drawing room of the Jets, the possibility of them acquiring the veteran QB Rodgers looks within their reach in the next couple of days. Another reason for them being keen on A-Rod is their own underperforming QB Zach Wilson. Wilson has failed to show his worth as the no.1 QB pick for the team with his dismal performances in the last two seasons. With the recent trades and signings the team has made, it all points in the direction of them moving forward with Rodgers’ potential wish list.

A-Rod’s free agent wish list for the Jets

Recent rumors suggested that Aaron Rodgers provided the Jets with a wish list of free agents he wants the team to acquire. The list included three players the QB worked closely with at the Green Bay Packers. They are Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Marcedes Lewis. Apart from this, rumors also suggested the four-time MVP QB is eyeing Odell Beckham Jr as well, who recently fully recovered from his knee injury, ready to make a comeback.

The Jets have already signed Lazard to a four-year $44 million deal. Apart from this, they also signed former Chiefs player Mecole Hardman and traded Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns in order to clear up some cap space. All these moves suggest the potential signing of Aaron Rodgers. But fans will have to wait patiently until a final official verdict comes to light.
