The four-time Super Bowl-winning TE was absent from the exciting matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles. That was probably because Robbie G had the big responsibility of making a field goal during a live commercial. The former New England Patriots cheerleader explained why the couple did not attend the game.

The Sports Illustrated model revealed that she and her boyfriend did not watch the Super Bowl game! That is because the 5× Pro Bowler “shot the first ever live Super Bowl commercial for Fan Duel. He had that kick of destiny.”

Gronkowski made an exciting partnership with the online fantasy sports site FanDuel. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE was challenged to kick a 25-yard field goal on an undisclosed location as part of a promotional stunt. “[It was] a thirty-second spot, [so] we had to shoot right over [the game],” Kostek said in an exclusive interview with ET. “It was a lot of stress, but congrats to the Chiefs!”

Gronkowski’s advertisement ran in the third quarter of the Chiefs-Eagle game. The 4× First-team All-Pro must have missed a lot of field goals in his career. But missing this one would have definitely hurt.

How did Gronk react to his failure?

The agreement that promised to provide supporters $10 million in free bonus bets was still being upheld by FanDuel Sportsbook, even if Gronk could not kick the ball into the goal. Later on, an appearance on FanDuel TV’s ‘Up & Adams,’ Rob Gronkowski revealed that it was mother nature who stood in his way. He blamed the wind for being too intense. “Mother Nature was like ‘no, no, no, no, no, Gronk, you’re not scoring again in the Super Bowl.”

It looks like the ball was not destined to be kicked.
