A year after former Buccaneer Rob Gronkowski raised money at the Boston Marathon to build a park for children, he’s back at it again. This time, however, the funds go to building another park in the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. Gronkowski Tweeted about the proposed funding, asking people to register and run for “Team Gronk” to help raise the funds.

Gronkowski retired from football earlier this year, after making a surprise return to football to play for the Bucs and Tom Brady. Now, though, it seems he is done with football, for good. But he seems to want to make an impact off the field too. Last year’s fundraiser at the Boston Marathon saw a whopping $1.2 million donated to restoring a playground in Boston. The donation comes through his charitable foundation, the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.
Gronkowski set up ‘Gronk Nation’ to “help kids stay actively involved in school and sports and provide them with the tools needed to help them follow their dreams and live a happy and more successful life.” The foundation mainly involves grants for sports programs and has a strong emphasis on health, community, and fitness.
NFL Fans melt in adoration over Rob Gronkowski’s charitable ventures
NFL fans are thoroughly impressed and are adulating the former Bucs tight end for his commendable service to the community. And of course, there are those who desperately want him to come back to Tampa Bay and help Brady and the Bucs get things back on track.

Gronk, I think you owe it to all your fans and former teammates on the Bucs especially Tom, why aren’t you helping them win another SB or at least explain why you’re not playing knowing this is probably gonna be your friends last year. You know they’d be a better team wearing #87

You moved away from Boston years ago, but yet you continue to do enormous amounts of charity work for the city. That is as rare as it is cool as hell. Thank you Rob

Rob Gronkowski‘s journey in the NFL started in 2010 when the New England Patriots picked him in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft. 5 years and 115 games later, he retired with 521 catches for 7,861 yards and 80 touchdowns. A year later, he returned to play for the Buccaneers at Tom Brady‘s behest, where he finished with 100 catches for 1,425 yards and 13 touchdowns in 28 games.
Gronkowski is, without contention, the best tight end ever in the history of the NFL. His stats speak volumes about his talent and his skill. At Brady’s request, he made a comeback to the NFL and helped Brady win another Super Bowl title. Will he make another surprise comeback to help Brady in what is possibly his last season?
