Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski believes former teammate and friend Tom Brady deserves to get slimed during the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards. Gronk seems to have put his QB in a tough spot with his recent comments, and Brady will be looking to remain away from his best friend.

The former Buccaneers player will be co-hosting the Kids’ Choice Awards this year alongside Miranda Cosgrove.

Gronk was in support of dropping the slime on Brady for keeping fans and his teammates on their toes a day before the start of the NFL offseason.

While talking to the PEOPLE’s Segun Oduolowu before the awards show, Gronk states, “You retired, unretired, [and] he threw everyone off. [I was] getting a million text messages. ‘Oh, Tom’s back. Are you coming back?’ So he deserves to get slimed!

It seems Gronk has decided the punishment for Brady, and the Buccaneers QB might be in trouble at the event. Nickelodeon did tease fans of nearly 1000 sliming possibilities at the event with dozens of fun-filled pranks. It will also be an event celebrating fan-favorite stars from the world of films, television, music, sports, and many more.

While answering a question about who is a tougher operator between Patriots head coach Bill Belichick or Miranda Cosgrove, Gronk did have an interesting answer. Gronk claims that Cosgrove did go hard on him in an environment where he shouldn’t be getting coaching.

Gronk’s recent public appearances have raised questions about his playing status and NFL return.

But Gronk seems to be at a stage where he is taking time to weigh out his options. Having retired once before in 2019 and returning in 2020 to win another Super Bowl title, the stakes need to be worth the risk.

He believes he will need little convincing to return to playing in the NFL.
