His correlation with Tom Brady, the undisputed GOAT, is well known. Well over decades, the pair has authored a slew of unforgettable on-field memories. However, a remark well before the draft regarding potential HOF TE Gronk has gone viral today; and he dealt with it in his style.

If Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback, Rob Gronkowski is unquestionably one of the best tight ends in the game. Gronk will always come to mind when fans think of someone who is recognized for his in-game manner and laid-back approach.

Rob Gronkowski disproves the skeptics

Boston Sports Journal’s Greg A. Bedard was recalled from a perspective he made on Rob Gronkowski back in April 2010. Bedard tweeted his impressions of him and how he thought little of him heading out of Arizona in the 2010 NFL Draft. In a 12-year old post shared by Freezing Cold Takes, the reporter asserts: “People are high on Arizona TE Gronkowski? I don’t see it. At all.”

Furthermore, in a retweet, the five-time Pro Bowl tight end makes a comeback, “Tell me more [Greg A. Bedard]”

All in all, it really was impossible to imagine Gronkowski’s remarkable career back in April 2010. Gronk has proven every skeptic false, particularly Bedard, and he intends to do just that.

The New England Patriots selected Gronk in the second round with the No. 42 overall pick that year. He went on to play nine seasons for the Patriots, earning five Pro Bowl appearances and three Super Bowl victories. In 2020, Gronkowski accompanied Tom Brady to Tampa Bay, wherein he won another Super Bowl. He continued to have one of his best times in the Bay. However, the athlete’s free-agent situation makes his fate perplexing. Overall, Bedard’s interpretation of the TE ended up becoming incorrect, and the tweet hasn’t aged well.
