The Super Bowl has always had some brilliant performances for the halftime show. Famed artists like Michael Jackson, Eminem, the Weeknd, and many more have graced arenas with amazing performances and this year was no exception. One of the most iconic stars of the music industry, the Carribean Queen, Rihanna, showcased her voice during the halftime show. Her voice and her commanding presence truly had the attention of the crowd. However, it seems that performance cost her a significant amount.
She absolutely tore up the stage with her new gig and turned heads with her performance between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts’ battle. However, despite a killer performance during the Super Bowl, the halftime show was an expensive affair for the singer herself.

While Rihanna has more than enough money, she incurs some costs that might raise the common man’s eyebrow. The usual Hollywood resident, Rihanna did travel for her performance in the Super Bowl. The iconic pop star went on to live in absolute luxury as she prepared for her performance in Arizona. She reportedly rented a house about 30 miles away from the State Farm Stadium. Interestingly, the house she rented was in a town called Paradise Valley. The property that she rented cost a whopping $85,000 for a single night.

With a five-day stay at such an expensive property, Rihanna ended up paying more than half a million dollars just for her stay, as per TMZ. Granted, the property she rented was like a swanky mansion. It has its own pickleball court, along with a swimming pool that has a built-in waterfall. Furthermore, the property is a 5-bedroom and bath facility meant for pure extravagance. However, even someone of Rihanna’s stature might suffer a small dent in her wallet with such a high price. Spending half a million dollars seems even more decadent when Rihanna’s earnings from the Super Bowl are put into perspective.

The minimal pay for performing at the Super Bowl
Even though the pop star put on a brilliant show during the halftime show, it won’t reflect in her paycheck. While the performers during the halftime are world-class artists, they are paid a minimal amount for their efforts. For the most recent Super Bowl, Rihanna only stands to make about $450 for her efforts. In comparison, her $500,000 charge for her mansion seems to be a steep one. However, when an individual is as celebrated and wealthy as Rihanna, an amount as big as half a million dollars does not make a huge difference.
Whatever the cost was, Rihanna absolutely set fire to the stage as she performed with gusto at the halftime show. While the common man might be appalled by her spending, a wealthy superstar like her does not need to worry about trivial spending.
