Football is back with all its drama. The Kansas City Chiefs took the field against the New Orleans Saints in their first preseason game and came up just short. Naturally, the Chiefs Kingdom has their hearts broken even though the recent preseason game means little in the larger scheme of things. And it was Patrick Mahomes’ $10 million rich wife Brittany who broke the ice after the defeat with a take on ‘Red Lobster’.
Brittany Mahomes always opens up about whatever is on her mind at any given point. After her husband and the Chiefs narrowly went down against the new look Saints, all she could think about was the ‘Red Lobster’ menu. And it looks like she has a bone to pick with the restaurant chain.

Brittany Mahomes seems to like some coconut in her shrimp. And when ‘Red Lobster’ overhauled their menu and took the delicacy out, she was definitely not happy. Right after the Chiefs’ first preseason loss, she let the fans know how disappointed she was.
Red lobster really got rid of their coconut shrimp incase anyone was wondering…😭😭😭

“Red lobster really got rid of their coconut shrimp incase anyone was wondering,” Brittany tweeted with some crying face emojis.
The impact of her tweet was such that even her husband Patrick Mahomes forgot the pain of losing a football game. The Chiefs’ star QB had a good laugh in reply and definitely would have in person too. Nobody knows if anyone at the restaurant noticed it but at least the reigning NFL and Super Bowl MVP got something to laugh about, courtesy of Brittany’s humor. Well, the guy needed it after Derek Carr and Co. inflicted a heartbreaking loss on the defending Super Bowl champions.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs started their preseason campaign against the Saints on Sunday. And all was going well for the Super Bowl LVII champions. Blaine Gabbert and Shane Buechele led the team to 24 unanswered points after the Saints went up 17-0. It looked like the Chiefs would walk off with a win, but it was not to be.
Rookie Saints QB Jake Haener brought his team back to within one point with a last-minute touchdown. And the Saints then scored a walk-off field goal to seal the deal for the day. Both Mahomes and Derek Carr took the field in the game for a short while, giving the fans a glimpse of what they will be doing when the season kicks off next month.

The Chiefs might have lost, but they can take solace in the fact that they had fallen at the same hurdle last year. It remains to be seen if they can go all the way to the Super Bowl this time. But first, Patrick might be scrambling to get Brittany her favorite Coconut Shrimp.
