Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers endured heartbreak in the Super Bowl LIV last year. Kyle Shanahan’s side fell to an agonizing defeat in Miami after a fourth-quarter blitz by Patrick Mahomes and Co. Despite that loss, the 49ers start the 2020 season as one of the favorites to go all the way once again.

The former New England Patriots man made the NFL Top 100 list this week. Garoppolo came in at number 43 ahead of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. The 28-year old threw for almost 4,000 yards last season while making 27 TDs. Garoppolo had a pass completion rate of 69.1 against 13 inceptions in 2019.

Kyle Shanahan had earlier claimed that “Jimmy G was just getting started”. Can the NFL veteran repay the faith entrusted in him and lead the 49ers to the elusive sixth Lombardi trophy in 2020?
