Kenny Pickett, the quarterback from Pittsburgh College, was subjected to a lot of talks prior to the draft. There were major talks about his small hand size, as many believed his hands will not help him to succeed in the NFL. Nevertheless, the Pittsburgh Steelers took a chance and drafted him. However, the former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman isn’t a firm believer of Kenny Pickett yet.

Richard Sherman on his podcast talked about the issues related to the size of Pickett’s hand. He said, “Do I think he’s the quarterback of the future? I don’t know. It’s hard for me to trust a quarterback who wears gloves all the time. It’s just different, It’s just different. I just, I have hard time with it.”

Despite not feeling confident about Pickett’s hands, Sherman did have some positive words to say for the new Steelers quarterback. He added, “But he slings it. He’s effective and we’ll see how effective he is in Pittsburgh. They do a great job developing guys,” Sherman said. “They haven’t had another quarterback under center starting consistently since Ben Roethlisberger. I mean, Ben’s been there for what, 13 years, 14 years, something like that? And so, so that’ll be interesting.”
