Antonio Brown had a phenomenal NFL career in the making. As a receiver, he defied all odds to make it happen. However, his popularity rose when he walked out of the field in January. The one-time Super Bowl champ is now a free agent but has kept himself busy with different ventures.
Rich Eisen weighs in on Antonio Brown’s situation. His recent events thwarted the talented WR’s NFL career, which had him on the verge of being in the Hall of Fame. He reveals the Pro Football Hall of Fame-worthy candidate as Hines Ward, who should go instead of AB.
Eisen lays down his thoughts, stating, “This guy could have been in Canton and you’re sitting there saying ‘he still should be in Canton!’ Anquan Boldin is not in Canton yet. Torry Holt’s not in Canton yet. Hines Ward deserves to get a spot in front of him. I don’t think he’s ever going to get a shot in Canton. And that is absolutely as sad as it comes.”

Why Antonio Brown may not have a HOF shot?
There’s no denying that Antonio Brown is the most gifted WR ever. His statistics with the Steelers speak for themselves. Yet, his traction with the franchises he’s been with hasn’t been very fruitful. Rich Eisen believes the receiver will not get into the Hall of Fame because of his recent shenanigans and how his career got cut short.
According to Eisen, franchises paid Antonio when he was a kid who was not only good but also dependable. He deserves to achieve it and will put in the effort to do so. Everybody could see it. His initial seasons in Pittsburgh and the rest of his career were all Hall of Fame-caliber. While his HOF call looks questionable, only time will tell now.
