Tom Brady is continuing to move on. After a glittering career as a QB, he is still continuing to navigate through his post-retirement life with different goals and aspirations. Apart from spending more time with his family, the 7X Super Bowl champ is also making investments in various genres of the sports world. And his latest decision marks the beginning of his foreseeable journey in the NFL as an owner, as he joins hands with Mark Davis to become a minority stakeholder of the Las Vegas Raiders.

While Tom Brady waits for the approval of this new journey from other league owners, rumors are still spreading about the 45-year-old coming out of retirement for a second time to play as a player-owner for the Raiders. The 7X Super Bowl champion recently made an appearance on the Rich Eisen show, as he went on to discuss his retirement plans with Rich Eisen. During the interview, Eisen stated that he’s been following Brady’s post-retirement life, from adopting a kitten to going on vacations. He then went to ask about Brady’s plans further into his retirement. Answering this question, Tom Brady said the way he’s spending his offseason now is the same as during his playing days. He said that the feeling of retirement will “set in” in the fall when the league starts. But at the same time, he feels that it is the right time for him to “try something different” and “move on to other things in areas of growth.”

While talking about his love for the sport, Tom Brady said that he still keeps up to date with everything happening in the league. He talked about continuing his association with the NFL in various ways like his ownership and broadcasting career in 2024. Addressing the question of making a comeback once again, Brady said, “But the actual playing part, I’m definitely tired of getting hit. There’s no more of that.” He further went on to talk about “just continuing to enjoy these different parts of life.”

Window of opportunity still open for Brady?

While Mark Davis and Tom Brady may have agreed on the negotiations to make Brady a minor owner of the franchise, this decision is still pending approval from the league’s 32 owners. And at the same time, the Raiders are also in a mix with Garoppolo recovering from his surgery while failing to clear physicals in March. If he is not fit by the start of the season, then the team can let go of him at no cost. This led to rumors circulating about Brady’s stepping up to fill in his shoes as a QB. Despite league rules putting a ban on owners playing for franchises, recent reports suggest that if the league three fourth of the league owners approve Brady’s ownership, and the second three-fourths approve him to play, then Brady could play the dual role of being both a minority owner and a QB.
