The Green Bay Packers took on the Lions in Detroit for their Sunday matchup. Since the Lions were coming from 5 straight defeats, Aaron Rodgers and his men were favorites for this NFC North clash. However, the Lions managed to rain on his parade in the temperature-controlled Ford Field.

The Packers suffered a 15-9 loss to the Home side. The Lions entered yesterday’s game allowing the most points in the league. Unable to have held anyone to fewer than 24 points all season, their defense was looking for a revival. In a fairytale ending for them, they managed to keep Green Bay at bay by allowing them only 9 for the day.

Beginning of the end for Aaron Rodgers?

This loss also marked the first time Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have lost 5 straight games with the big man at QB. While he caught the L on the field, it didn’t stop there. Twitter was in a frenzy as the NFL community became keyboard football experts.

Popular sports handle, Bleacher Report added an old video of a defeated Rodgers as they listed out a statistic, he wouldn’t want to remember.

After celebrating LSU’s win over Alabama, Lil Wayne didn’t have the perfect sporting weekend as his NFL team, Green Bay Packers, let him down. He expressed how he felt Rodgers’ time was up at Green Bay much before the season started.

A fan even questioned Rodgers’ personality and ability to own up to his fault. To which he seemed to know the answer as well.

Finally, a fan took the opportunity to get in on the paycheck Rodgers is drawing from the franchise. Without his salary, the Packers would have been in a spot to have better players.

There is no stopping the internet on such occasions. It’s a party that everyone is invited to. However, Rodgers can’t blame anyone but himself for his consecutive poor showing. Maybe it is just a bad patch of form. Maybe Green Bay needs to try to tweak things around. Something must change for them to get back to winning ways. Post this win, the Lions improvise to a 2-6 record while the Packers are now at 3-6.
